Hertz was the first car rental company in the world who implements eCommerce in 1998. In 2013, Hertz partners with Indosystem to strategize & accelerate its mobile platforms reservation & enrollment.

Solution

Indosystem builds Hertz mobile app using the hybrid approach on top of Apache Cordova. This allows both iOS & Android apps to share the same business logics & company branding, while keeping native features specific for different device. For example: driver license scanner using iOS camera, “special hidden shake promotion” on Android & iPad.

At the time, we target iPhone & iPad with iOS 5+ and Android phone running Honeycomb (3.0+).
